The GOP candidate and the Patriots quarterback are proficient friends.

While the New England Patriots quarterback has been dealing with the deflategate scandal, he has had the support of the GOP presidential candidate from the beginning.
And Trump seems to have Brady'south admiration. A red "Brand America Slap-up Again" hat was spotted this weekend in Brady'due south locker at Gillette Stadium.
During today's Dennis and Callahan Interview Morning time Show on WEEI, Brady confirmed that the hat was indeed from Trump.
"At present that he's running for president he sent me a chapeau and he gave it to RKK weeks ago," Brady said, calling Patriots owner Robert Kraft by his initials. "So information technology found its fashion to my locker."
According to Brady, the two offset met back in 2002 and became great golfing buddies.
"I've known him since 2002 when I judged ane of his beauty pageants ... so I've known him for a long time," Brady said. "He e'er gives me a call and different types of motivational speeches at dissimilar times."
Brady went on to say that Trump is "a skilful friend and we've had a lot of time on the golf game form together."
The 38-year-quondam quarterback wouldn't say if he'd vote for Trump in 2016, only complimented Trump's accomplishments.
"It's pretty amazing what he'southward been able to attain as an entrepreneur, as a television star and now run for political office. People who can do those types of things and transition into different arenas and still accept that type of appeal and carry-over. ... He's obviously appealing to a lot of people," Brady said of Trump. "He's a hell of a lot of fun to play golf with."
The feelings are mutual -- Trump likes to telephone call Brady a "friend" of his - non to mention a "full winner."
As the NFL'due south investigation began into Brady'due south alleged interest with the deflated footballs in the AFC Title game in Jan against the Indianapolis Colts, Trump advised Brady in a tweet to "Sue them Tom,"

Following the Patriots Super Bowl win, Trump tweeted that he loved that the Patriots won.

In an interview in 2012, Brady admitted he follows politics, "relatively closely" and enjoys watching the "banter that goes back and forth."
